To our neighbors,

I am honored to represent the dedicated men and women of the Ventura County Professional Firefighters' Association (VCPFA) — a union consisting of committed professional firefighters, captains, and fire prevention officers serving Ventura County. Our primary objective has always been, and will remain, the safety and well-being of the families and businesses of Ventura County.

Every member of the VCPFA is highly-trained and proficient across a multitude of operational disciplines. We pride ourselves on offering the pinnacle of professional firefighting and rescue services, which is achieved through our unwavering commitment to top-tier training, equipment, and staffing.

Our capabilities are vast. Whether it’s structural firefighting, emergency medical services, technical rope rescue, mitigating hazardous materials incidents, or wildland firefighting, your firefighters are ready and equipped to respond. And it’s not just here in Ventura County. Our reach extends throughout California and the western United States through a mutual aid response system, ensuring that help is always at hand.

To maintain this high standard of service, we are dedicated to recruiting and retaining the finest fire and rescue professionals by negotiating competitive wages and benefits. We also continuously strive to educate policymakers and our community on the specific needs and nuances of the fire service.

Beyond the call of duty, our members, driven by their passion and sense of responsibility, engage with the community on a routine basis. Our VCPFA charities showcase our commitment to giving back, donating significant amounts annually to local charities and promoting volunteerism within our ranks. This speaks to the character of our members, who generously offer their time and resources to support the community they so proudly serve.
